We met in Australia while both on a missionary training program for 6 months. After falling in love in Australia, we began dating at the end of our 6 month journey, Jordan heading back to Texas & I headed back to Georgia. After about 2 months of flying back and forth, we knew long distance was not going to work for us. I made my way out to Texas last summer and have loved being here with Jordan ever since. We were engaged in October, married in May, and now expecting our little one. I guess it's safe to say we know what we want & we don't waste any time :)
I've kept an individual blog on & off since I was a freshman in college. I'm not going to lie, I was hesitant to even blog again, because I'd experienced some "cyber bullying" in the past & with a husband and a baby on the way, I wasn't sure how much I wanted to share with the world in order to keep some privacy, but many people have encouraged me to write again, including my husband. So I will be updating on being married, being a new mom, and the joys and challenges that come along the way. here we go...
I am a southern girl, born and raised in Georgia. I have a B.S. in Psychology from Georgia State University. I'm currently a student midwife, apprenticing under the midwives who helped deliver my son. I hope to take my certification exam to be a CPM in mid-late 2015. It's one of my greatest pleasures to assist women in one of the most important days of their lives. I love wine, good food, music, reading, my girl friends, dates with my hubby, Jesus, and anything to do with birth. I love being a wife and a mom. My hubby and my son are my 2 greatest gifts and there's nothing I'd rather do in this life!
Jordan was born and raised here in Texas. He is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, and while he loves the Sooners, the entire Gray fam are all die hard Ole Miss fans. He works in construction with 3 of his closest friends. He loves good food, playing any and every sport, reading, being a dad and a husband, music, and Jesus. He has a heart for serving others and gives wholly to whatever it is that he's doing.
